Senior Associate Elder Law Attorney
Senior Associate Attorney Keith Stevens joined the statewide Elder Law practice of Cooper, Adel & Associates in 2011 after graduating with his Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School. Keith began his career at Cooper & Adel in the Trust and Estate Planning area where he met with clients throughout Ohio to assist them in implementing legal strategies that protect and preserve their assets as they age.
Today, Keith focuses on helping families who are in crisis or worry about the issues related to long term catastrophic health care crises. Attorney Stevens has a talent for legal research and a memory that is legend among the staff at Cooper & Adel. Even though he is able to dig deeply into complicated court precedents and departmental rules and regulations that may affect our clients, Keith’s clients give him top ratings in relating complex information in a way that makes them understand and feel comfortable with the strategies recommended for them.
Keith has a degree in History from the Robert E. Cook Honors College at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he specialized in Viking-Age Scandinavia. He also spent two summers in Iceland studying Icelandic. Prior to joining Cooper, Adel & Associates, Keith clerked for the Franklin County Probate Court and for the Cincinnati Insurance Company’s Office of Trial Counsel in Columbus. Keith is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association.
Keith lives in Delaware with his wife, Sarah, a PhD in biomedical engineering, and their three daughters, Charlotte (aka “Chuck”), Hazel and Ruby.
